Re: [Diesel-RVs] unknown vibration when coasting

My guess would be U joints, it does that in a car/truck.

Subject: [Diesel-RVs] unknown vibration when coasting

:I have a Safari Serengeti RV with a 300 hp CAT and 6 Speed Allison
: Transmission. The rig has not quite 40k miles. The problem - once the
: thing gets warmed up and I'm going down the highway, it vibrates
: somewhere in the back end. It will quit momentarily if I touch the
: brake or accelerator. Sorry, it's a rear diesel pusher. A man replaced
: some bolts in the suspension he said were worn and I have six new tires
: that are balanced. Alignment has been done as needed. Any ideas would
: be real helpful. My friend says it's in the rear end, but I doubt it.
: It doesn't act up when it's pulling. Thanks a lot, Glen Milender,
: Northern Minnesota
