Use whatcha got but not until you have an unbroken T bracket .
I'm un aware of any heated intake air.....
In fact the intake air snorkel prevents any underhood warm air from being injested .

A while ago, I stripped a 300sd and think I got a ybracket also...so I will look for it, and also I know I have some new rubber mounts...so I will try this first. Also will get the bracket from Tom if need be.
The mechanic who suggested this is here in MD, NOT the one I mentioned in Fremont CA. The Fremont guy would prolly throw me off his lot if I asked him to do this...he is MB design stickler.
Another reason I think this MB setup should not be modified is that the rerouting of the hot exhaust through the air filter, helps heats up the air going into the engine.Don't know if this is important or not, just a thought.
