[diesel_mercedes] Cold Weather Servicing

 



? No garage Brian ? .

I guess being a Farm Boy then a Field mechanic for so many years has polluted me ~ I only work outdoors, I have a canvas canopy but when it rains I'm stuck .

I went out side this morning to work on my old Moto and began sweeping out the drateed oak leaves, I got 1/2 done and felt rain drops on my head.....

Sigh .

Maybe to - morrow .

Understood Brian .

There's a Tommy's in Eagle Rock not too far from where I live and after my son graduated High School  in 1997 he decided we should eat there at least twice a week, this sorta burned me out on them for a long time .

Now there's one near his house and one near me that the local Vintage VW Club fills up every Friday evening, neither of us goes much .

SWMBO said to - day that she has a serious jones for a pastrami sandwich from Hi Life Burgers in South Pasadena so we'll prolly go Thu. or Fri.

Oh yeah ~ auctions, where you're the only bidder and foolishly think "it's only $75, how bad can it be to fix up ?" .

OOPS .

Yes, I still have the W650 and was beginning to get it going again, it was my daily rider, I bought it new on 2000 from that first batch of them imported .

Blue / silver .

If the rain will give me a break I'll go out and work on another old Moto to - morrow 'cause I'm itching to ride it again .

Pops bought TWO 1966 SAAB Two-Smoke station wagons, both were lemons although I'm aware many held rhose cars in high esteem .

Pops wasn't any sort of Gearhead and tended to destroy anything he drove .

Yep ;

In 1976 (?) I was living in Guatemala City, Guatemala and bought a 1937 KnuckleHead EL (61" engine) and rebuilt it from the ground up, the frame was broken in three places, a fun bike to ride but also a young man's bike .
