Now today it is charging between 3.75-14v. Is there any chance the deficient charging could be connected to the battery being overcharged?I might have overcharged it when I was preparing it for the alternator install.Otherwise it looks like I'm sunk unless I want to remove the alternator and change that regulator.Michael E. Go ahead but you're wasting your time ~
They'll say " oh yes ~ we've been using these for years and never had any problems " .
BULLCRAP .
All you needs do is LOOK at it under the hood with a flashlight (engine OFF duh) , the black round thing on the back of the alternator will have " BOSCH " on it in small letters along with some numbers .
Anything else is crap .
Obviously , they make more $ by using the cheapest thing they can get .

Well having read all of this maybe I should give that alt. shop a call. They didn't say anything about the regulator brand and I didn't ask.
