I found a nice Motel near the airport then went out for a drive , followed my instincts and found where all the Junk Yards are in twenty minutes .


The sun was going down so I drove around a while , had dinner on the North side of Albuquerque , came back to wash up and get ready for bed .

Carrying and drinking , plenty of water in my 64 Oz. insulated jug .

I was told there's a $10 Senior's Pass fot Federal National Parks , as soon as I see where to buy it , I will .

I've seem more bums than usual and bought gasoline for two Couples , one was clearly B.S. scammers as their truck only took 5 gallons , the others I met in " DO NOT brake down here,New Mexico" looked pretty rough and had no cute story , just ' we are trying to get to Colorado ' so I bought them 10 gallons .

I'd hate to be stuck here .

[diesel_mercedes] Throttle Linkage Part

 

I went to the Pay and Pick yard , it's YUUUUGE ! .

Sadly only a very few Mercedes new or old , a 1981 240D with very minor collision damage , the throttle linkage part was different from Max's =8-( .

A 1985 300D , mostly complete , I'da loved to get the 2.88 final drive out of it but don't have much in the way of tools with me .

Several W126's in various conditions , all gassers .

Nice weather ! sunny with high clouds , light wind , glad I brought my new sun hat .
