it was supposed to rain to - day so I cancelled all my plans and drove to see Rob who set me up with a solid alternator pulley and some turbo parts, I want to overhaul a pre 1983 (non A.I.R. valve) turbocharger and install it and some non E.G.R. manifolds to my Coupe, there's some fiddly little peaks & tweaks I want to try on the next turbo .
Afterwards I hit a couple LKQ yards that had 300D's languishing, sadly they'd been there a few weeks and so were somewhat stripped, in one I found the two 'B' pillar bottom covers in Palomino, those were $1.29 each (!), at the other I discovered an original block heater cord intact, not too many cracks in the insulation, I'll see if I can heat shrink it then install it on one of my W123's, I bought two new ones elsewhere .
Then SWMBO called me and said 'get your butt home and make a pot of chili !' so I did, it didn't begin to rain until 2:37PM .
