RE: [Diesel-RVs] unknown vibration when coasting

Check your U joints or better try greasing them and see if the vibration
stops.

Subject: [Diesel-RVs] unknown vibration when coasting

I have a Safari Serengeti RV with a 300 hp CAT and 6 Speed Allison
Transmission. The rig has not quite 40k miles. The problem - once the
thing gets warmed up and I'm going down the highway, it vibrates
somewhere in the back end. It will quit momentarily if I touch the
brake or accelerator. Sorry, it's a rear diesel pusher. A man replaced
some bolts in the suspension he said were worn and I have six new tires
that are balanced. Alignment has been done as needed. Any ideas would
be real helpful. My friend says it's in the rear end, but I doubt it.
It doesn't act up when it's pulling. Thanks a lot, Glen Milender,
Northern Minnesota
