Re: [diesel_mercedes] Got my radiator.

wild ride.
Its warmed up here from that big storm that blew tru Cali a few days ago(what I mean to say is the storm from california warmed up the place). Most of the snow has melted, 45 degrees, so I thought I would drive the 240 to town. I thought about throwing the chains in the trunk that are hanging on a peg right next to the back of the car. I did think about it. Funny thing about snow that gets driven on, it never melts, turns to ice, ice thats been rained on is the worst. As I was sliding sideways down the driveway I thought of two things, first-not the best day to be driving the 240, second I remembered forgetting the chains. But at least it started really easy. These cars are exceptional in snow, ice and mud. I have all three today. So while in town I stocked up on cat litter, 125lbs., 25 lbs cat food, 5 gallon propane, 2 gallons wine(in case I had to bivouac) and I filled the tank. Lots of weight in the trunk, junk in the trunk. Coming home up the drive way, I put the pedal to the medal, slid sideways tru the s curves, flinging mud and ice at least 100 feet narrowly missing trees. What a car, I made it, to celebrate I'm changing oil and adjusting valves and replacing front brake pads. Back to snow next week, definitely parking for winter. Max
