Re: [diesel_mercedes] Home Again

I'm not Nate, but I know that their last name is Aldridge. Good luck with your search.

Hey Nate, do you remember Tony's and Sharon last name? Big english guy.  Seems like they visited you. Well, they were here  and then disappeared. They  had the big bus and went to mexico. They live not far from here and my lady wants to go look them up. I hope Tony did not kick any bucket, but with a last name I could try and find them. Thanks, Max

I always forget to jot down the beginning mileage so I can figure out how many total miles each road trip was .

The tankful I added Startron to and ran pretty close to wide open the whole way (80+ ~ 100+) , returned 23.7 MPGs and smoked a fair good bit .

On the way home I passed a gasolinera that said " biodiesel mix " and I keep hearing that bio diesel is good for cleaning out crud so I tanked up with it , added a quart of oil and used the cruise control mostly on the way home , it surges now and then and hunts for whatever speed it wants instead of locking in wherever I set it at , I chose 63 ~ 67 MPH and am keen to see what the end mileage from not speeding will be .

All in all it was a nice trip , the weather was weird , rainy some times , clear and cool @ 84° F others , almost always windy , some times a good 50 MPH blow shoving the car all over the road .

The stations sign said $2.17 credit and $2.12 ca$h , I used my credit card and was pleased to see the actual price was only $2.04 / gallon , plenty of places in Arizona are under $2 / gallon for branded diesel fuel .

[diesel_mercedes] Yahoo's businesses update

Via Bill in Oregon.

Yesterday, it came out that your favorite British tabloid might have its eye on the ‘Hoo .

Reminder: Yahoo has been a hot mess for the past few years. After a lot of board meetings and rumors, the company said it would be open to getting rid of its news and media properties.

Cue a bidding war between major media companies. Verizon is apparently willing to spend the most, and could submit a bid as early as next week. But the Yahoo yard sale apparently caused the Daily Mail’s gossiping ears to perk up too. The Mail has been losing revenue from its print newspaper, so Yahoo could give it an ad revenue boost. Owning part of Yahoo would also give the tabloid’s parent company a bigger footprint in the US, so that Americans can continue to keep up with the Kardashians.
