[diesel_mercedes] W123 Door

 

I was looking at a gutted door to day , it was from an electric window car but might be the same as manual judging by the unused holes in it .

Does anyone know for sure ? .

I can always buy a brandy new lift if i have to but un dented m un rusted doors don't grow on trees , not even here in the Desert .

the 240D was scraped in Hope, BC, Canada  near Vancouver.

In the next couple of months I hope to decide if I will rebuild or scrap a 1979 300TD.
I suspect the front door parts are the same.

I have found the lift new afordably but this door has Bondo in it so why not replace it at the same time with a good used one ? .

I know there's a good one in So. Cal. , I just have to beat the bushes and find it...

I can't believe how poorly these cars were made .

I drove up to work this morning @ 0-Dark:30 and when OI lowered the driver's side window to open the gate , I heard a  ' pop ' noise and the glass remained down .

I guess I'll have to go looking for a spare door now , W-123 driver's side front if anyone has or sees one .

Light color or white is a plus. - Nate
