[diesel_mercedes] Re: need help changing fuel injectors.

I did change my fuel filter. The fuel lines and tank was professionally cleaned about a year ago. They are probably the original. It's not getting very much power, smoking, rough idle. So I thought I would try to clean them myself!

I've used a 17mm open end wrench and start with the outer fittings first then work toward the middle. If they've been on their for a long time then it might be good to spray some PBBlaster or Kroil on them to loosen any corrosion. Have you done a diesel purge along with new fuel filters, yet? How do you know the injectors need to be replaced?
