When I bought our first DP, I waited for a triple-wide living room
config (2 slides front + bed slide). The 2nd living room slide adds
aisle width, but kills some very valuable storage cabinets up top
along the passenger's side. We also had trouble w/the HWH "chain
slide" mechanism on that side; not HWH's fault so much, although the
chain setup makes more creaks & pops on the road than non-"flush
floor" slide types. The major problem was a manufacturer execution issue.
We traded "down" to a 2-slide coach and are ecstatic we did, tho for
more reasons than the in-coach storage. The Alpine Coach SE comes
w/their patented SmartBed solution for under-coach storage. It is the
best thing to happen to motorhomes since room slides. No more banged
head, strained back, etc.
