Thanx Bill ~ for some reason the page just idles when I click 'play' .

I'll try it again later .

I have an old Kenwood KCC-1011S CD player in the 240D and I'm trying to set the clock ~ I got the hours right but cannot get the minutes to change ~ they just blink and no matter what button I touch , it leaves the clock adjust setting =8-^ .

Going to meet my Siblings and scatter Pop's ashes _OFF_ the Reservation .

This is my first Retirement Road Trip .

Although the car slows down on hills , it's running well and I rarely need to flat foot it .

I'm passing more traffic out here on the open road than I do in Los Angeles

I'm in Scenic Kingman, Az. to-night having driven here in the 1982 240D with one bad cylinder.....

AC is working O.K. , not great but if I take my shirt off and sit in my tank top it's O.K. .

I got up at the buttcrack of down this morning and filled the fuel tank of my '84 Euro. Spec. 300TD , 24.4 MPG , no AC , Startron used , left it cleaned and shiny for Shirley to use whilst I'm out of town .

I finished off the last tank in the '82 240D just South of Barstow, Ca. , it got 26.6 MPG's mostly in town , I hope to get better this trip to New Mexico , lots of mountains and I have the AC cranked all the way up (or is it down ?) .

I'm driving 60 ~ 65 MPH varying , I must have hit a curb as it drifts slightly to the right and when I correct it gently , it then wants to veer to the left.....  


Shirley asked me last week if something was wrong , she felt the car " couldn't go in a straight line " .


It'll go over 70 easily but I don't like to run the engine that fast .


Not much on the radio out here , I prolly should brought a big box of CD's .


It's been 15 hours and I'm tired so off to bed soon , more to  - morrow .

Pure HPR fuel used , NO FUNGUS ! https://s.yimg.com/ok/u/assets/img/emoticons/emo5.gif.

The clear plastic intake screen remains nice and clear , no tint to the liquid fuel inside .

Still a few tiny bits of crud here and there , not enough for me to bother blowing it out (!YAY!) .

329 miles 17 MPG .

What happened ? .

I added a fuel pressure gauge as I'm tweaking the IP's fuel transfer pressure .

The darn gauge failed as I was taking my Son out to dinner Wednesday evening , by the time I got home it was pissing fuel out , sharply reducing the fuel economy although the car was running great , smooth as silk , apparently the HPR fuel works like increased Cetane , making the engine run much smoother .

I removed it and ordered up a new American made Marshal liquid filled gauge , we'll see how long it lasts https://s.yimg.com/ok/u/assets/img/emoticons/emo20.gif.
