Better yet, I’d take a battery out of another car and put it in there. Jumping across a questionable battery can give the same click click.
I know it’s a pain to swap batteries; I have a 1961. Bill in

I'm curious too, how you know the battery is good.
I agree with others suggesting cleaning contacts etc, though how about a
jump, to see if that works.
Try the easy stuff first.

Hello again everyone. My 1965 190 D will not start. Battery is good. The dash lights up but it does not start. It clicks once and doesn't rev at all. Help!

The battery was tested and is good. My husband left the key in with the dome light on overnight so a few days later I started it and moved it out of the garage to clean it. Then when I went to put it back it had no power to get up the hill and I kept killing it. About three tries later and it wouldn't even try to turn over. So I thought battery. We charged it. Still nothing Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android

Start easiest (cheapest) to check and work up.
Did this just happen with no warning?
How old is your battery? A battery can fail at any time in its life.
Clean all connections and cable ends.

Nate will have suggestions about locating a starter; starters can be rebuilt, Bill in
