Subject: [diesel_mercedes] Fuel Economy Check '84 2300CD Slushbox
451 miles, 27MPG, Biobor used .
Low fuel lamp on at 437 miles .
I replaced the open thermostat and that raised the engine's temperature from 40 ~ 60* C to 84* C and increased the power quite a bit .
It also improved this tank's fuel econmy in spite of close to 200 miles @ 80 + MPH .
