Four new Bilstein shocks to be installed in January. Various front end parts and linkage to be installed in January. Oil and oil filters for Mary and Martha to be done in January. Planning ahead for the spring replacement of Martha's deck and back end courtesy of donor Jane Doe who sits patiently waiting. And the beat goes on. If I repaint Martha, do I choose a different color, do I just match the old? If I strip Jane Doe, where do I store the parts?  Maybe I should fire her up and see if she has a good engine - so many questions, so little time.

[diesel_mercedes] Fuel Economy Check '84 300TD Slushbox

 

My gray market fully optioned wagon .

340 miles, silver bottle Diesel Kleen used, no AC .

25MPG .

The passenger front door's striker plate is going, this means the door has to be slammed very hard, I just ordered up a full set of new striker plates and thermostats too as the engine only reached 75* C or so in the cold and the heater's output on the freeway is lukewarm at best, plenty warm if not hot in city streets .

Tim to do a proper flush and fill of the cooling system anyways .

I guess thermostats age out ? .

Kinda late notice I know, I plan to be there astride my 1975  BMW R60/6 :

In Pasadena, Ca. :



The Norton Club's Run for the Roses is always a good time. New Years Eve Day, be there or be square!

Our final ride of the year…always fun! Meet at Lucky Baldwins Trappiste located at 1770 East Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena. They will open early so come early and get some breakfast.

We'll ride up to Newcomb's Ranch on Angeles Crest/Hwy 2. Return to Congregation Ale House located at 300 S. Raymond Avenue in Pasadena. Ride Maps will be handed out prior to departure. Take your classic motorcycle out for the last day of the year and enjoy this fantastic ride in our backyard! Southern California Norton Owners Club 2018 ROSE RIDE PINS will be handed out to all riders!

Ride departs at 10AM sharp.

I have a few turbos, one from Brian's earlier blown engine. Might be in parts. I think it had the earlier turbo. On my current turbo, I just capped my AIR off, as the system had vacuum leak at the valve, on the fender.

Should be something in that box for you to use. Too busy to dig at the moment
