[diesel_mercedes] Oil Cooler Hoses

The upper oil hose on my 1984 300TD grey market has begun to weep at the joint .

I find this odd as I know I replaced it when I bought the car as it was worn through and leaking badly then .

Sadly , The Classic Center can't get it anymore so I'll buy new ones from Germany , not original Mercedes as I'd rather ~  one is Trucktek and t'other is Cohline , at least not ' Uro ' brand where you never know what you're going to get until you open the box .

I also decided to take the plunge and buy that oddly shaped heater hose and support ring that likes to rub against the oil filter housing.... I bought three anti-rub / support rings and two hoses , all gennie-U-wine Mercedes parts from Peach Parts , might as well as this way I get free shipping .

I'm keeping the order open overnight in case there's something more I forgot or my Brother Tom needs to add to it .

Yesterday I saw the first Ice Cream Truck go by the house, this morning it rained a little bit ~ never a dull moment in Los Angeles

When I got to work and the nice dry garage , I washed the windshield and the Rain-X'ed it as we're supposed to get constant rains from now until the end of March .

[diesel_mercedes] Rear End Change Over

A nice video showing a 113 rear end changeover with some general applications. I did this once on a GM car going from a 3.70 to a 4.30 during some hot rod days (should have done a 4.10 however as the revs were too high for street driving).
