Hi Nate, its a 1980 240 4spd. I thought for sure someone was gonna tell me that fix was gonna cause trouble for some reason. I cant see this, with the 4 bolt fix, ever failing again. Max

Help. My parts car throttle part  broke already. Anyone have one or does anyone go to those self junkyards that could get me one? I,ve noticed my 240 auto system is different than the 4spd, but the one I took out of a 300TD was just like my 4spd. Strange. Anyway I seem to be fresh out of this part. Its the part that has stop written on it. The rubber stuff just

[diesel_mercedes] Newer Mercedes

 

I have an old, beat up, rusting 1983 300D. I am wanting to get rid of it and get a newer car. I was looking at a TDI Jetta or Passat. Even though these cars have lots of issues, I was willing to get one for the biodiesel running capacity. Then it donned on me... Why not get a newer, bullet proof mercedes diesel. 


So, what should I get and what should I avoid? I am fiquring you guys have so experience or have at least hear about the other years. Maybe a 300E?


Looking forward to the imput.
