Hi Max ;
I've never seen one with the rubber isolator on the stop lever .
It's usually at the firewall .
The one on my '82 240D was also broken when I bought it so it only got maybe 2/3 throttle and was awful to drive .
I'm about to hit the road for a week or so , if i see one I'll grab it .
I've seen many of these isolators broken and repaired just like you did so that repair should last a long time .
What year and model W123 is it from again ? .
