I know that the skid plate was an option but U.S. buyers don't feel the need. Both sets of my grandparents bought 1961 Mercedes. The college prof took European delivery and had the skid plate. The farmer took delivery in Eugene , Oregon and did not have the skid plate. Bill in Oregon

I also have a 2008 Outback but since I have 2 240's I drive those in summer so the Subie just sits in a shed all summer. Max

Mallory brand would be good.  Nope.  My Bosch glow plugs?  Junk, made in India.

Good luck.

This is not the Skid Plate you refer to but may be a part you could use:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/252110389625

These people may also have the Skid Plate if you ask them.

Also, try http://www.junkyarddog.com
