Lost,
The people who checked into it found that the petro diesel was the culprit - it caused wax to fall out of the WVO.
Blends are bad news. If you try again, heat the WVO. Use petro diesel or bio diesel to start.
Steve used a stationary DD - he may can give you advice.
Bobby
I was running my Detroit Diesel on a mix of filtered WVO and petro D, did about 5000 miles & then one of the pistons stopped while the other 5 kept going - $12,000 later I decided that there was more to running WVO than just filtering. If and when I use it again I will filter it wash it,( to get out the salts and sugars) dry it, & filter it again.
I do not think the WVO caused the failure, but since I am not sure I pay the $500 per tank full, (144 gal tank) for petro D.
