[diesel_mercedes] Gold color on hood ornament and lettering.

 

Recently picked up a 1980 300sd and it has gold color on the hood ornament and on the model numbers on the trunk. Is this an indication of a special model or nothing at all? Thanks.

[diesel_mercedes] Replacing rear door on 126

 

I need to switch out the right rear door on my 81 126. I have never done this before and wonder if it is just a matter of removing old door and bolting on replacement. Any secrets or pitfalls that I should know about. Thanks for the help.
