Subject: [diesel_mercedes] Radio wiring help.

This is becoming more of a complicated job than I thought. Do all Becker units connect to an amp behind the glove box. I just cut the cable so I'm committed. Seems the easiest way is to cut the fader wires and run a set up into the dash. Lawrence Rhodes.......

[diesel_mercedes] Re: Vacuum leaks - 123

Temperature and humidity changes , vibrations etc. _ALL_ affect vacuum leaks ~ this is wy you must first set everything straight before making other repairs .

Today the car ran fine including locks, acc, shut off, etc. I am going to replace all the vacuum rubber connectors but wonder if it is not something else - hard to understand why shutting off the climate control would lead to everything working, including the climate control itself when I turned it back on today.

Andrew

Sent from Yahoo! [diesel_mercedes] Radio connected and works. Antenna wire now is the problem.

Turns out the speaker wires that go from the amp are routed through the dash so no problem using the old wires. However there is no antenna activation wire I can recognize. Might it be the lone ground wire from the amp? Black in color. I'm afraid to put 12v to it to test. Anyone know for sure? Lawrence Rhodes....
