I don't know ~ I assume it'll be behind the center of the dash , not far from the blower switch . look for green pipes .

Is it behind the control panel in the middle of the dash underneath the center vents? The only thing I can figure is maybe there is one vacuum element underneath to control the flapper for external air vs recirculate...? Everything else in the heating & a/c system is definitely manual controls via cables.

The usual stuff happened...door locks, engine shutoff, but also, the heater blower motor would not work. I thought the vacuum was a separate system in the 240D. The 240D has cables to operate everything in the heater and a/c system, doesn't it? Anyhoo, when I replaced the vacuum tube, the blower motor started working again no problem. So my question is, how does a vacuum outage cause the heater blower motor to not work?
