That was an interesting three day 1,200 + mile plus trip .

I took my old W123 300CD Diesel Sports Coupe and it made good on that name, flying over 5,000 foot Towne Pass without strain , AC blowing 42* F out the vents, engine easily pushing the car up and over the 9 + mile long 9 degree incline .

The engine reached slightly more than 100* C but never overheated at all .

There was a fairly wet Winter in D.V. this past year so lots of greenery and small springs filling the ditches with running streams etc. although not as many wildflowers as I'd hoped to see .

I meant to change the oil & filter before heading out but time and "might as wells" put a stop to all that .

I used two quarts of multi viscosity  oil .

First tank revealed 27MPG, second tank was 26MPG, some of this was flat footing it but not much .

Biobor used and still not a trace of anything in the clear plastic intake screen .
