The later style is available and is the only replacement for the old style like you have.

Shifter broke off right where it enters the rubber boot. Anyone have one lying around, or know of one for sale online? So far all I've seen is the entire shift assembly.

Re: [diesel_mercedes] w123 Key & Tumbler Replacement

No, I never said that. Only on certain cars. Some W116 300SD tumblers are now tough to get, but W123 cars and ?W126 cars are no problem.

Yabbutt ;

If you buy them from Tom you'll get matching keys to your original door & trunk locks....

BTW Tom , I thought you'd said you couldn't get then anymore , last week .

I'm interested too, as I already have the swaybar bushings.

Nate,

Not sure if I'm the Ben you were wondering about, but either way, I'm definitely still here. In fact I spent a solid 8 hours in the shop today getting the good engine & gearbox installed into my pristine '82 240D.  That's a project that I've been meaning to get to for 18 months now.

Ice been on vacation since the Nissan plant is in it's summer shut-downright now. Before I could get my 82 240D into the shop, I had to complete the 5-speed conversion on my 1980 VW Dasher diesel wagon.  That's almost as sweet a ride as the manny tranny 240D's!
