[diesel_mercedes] Rear Window and Windshield replacement seals

 

People, please remind me where you like to buy these things- not the knock off ones from thailand, but the real thing.
It may begin to rain here soon, at least we all hope it does, and I need to get my car prepared. 
FYI- 1981 grey mkt 300D.  It's pretty nice but it will begin to rot soon if i don't do this.  I could also use one of those rubber corners for the rear bumper if any of you all happen to have one laying around.  one fell off the other day, ugh, driver'd side.

So, why would I put 2 new door striker plates on my 1983 300d?  Same old story - because they have rubber or plastic bits in them and after 30+ years the rubber or plastic fails and the door does not go "thunk" any more. Kent's Youtube video is worth watching because the screws are in tough & tight and are easy to strip if you aren't careful.

Good choice. I choose that one because it never gets driven, hardly, and it's almost winter(which means both get parked and the Outback comes out). When I started it up all four wheels were sunk into the grass a inch or so, and it had not even been started for months, it takes awhile for the auto trans to want to move. I,ve noticed when its cold(and I mean like in the 20's) it dont want to move and it takes a long while to shift good. Great car tho, I really like the  auto. Max
