Re: [diesel_mercedes] Helping Hands

Never heard that one before.  Pretty kewl...!

In 1980 I bought a 1969 BSA Rocket 3 750 (actually, 741) cc triple from Fay Myers in Denver.  Ray-gun silencers, three Amal concentrics, dry-disc clutch, duel underhead cams, it was, at heart, a Triumph 500 twin with a third cylinder grafted on.  It was the first to be acclaimed a "Superbike", eclipsed months later by Honda's CB750, followed by the Mach III.

Wish I still had that bike now.  Oh wait... I DO!

What a neat old song. For me as a kid, it was a '70 Kawasaki Mach 3, triple 2 stroke, you could hear me for miles.

While taking a listen on youTube, I saw that Édith Piaf did a version.

Home, sick with pneumonia, though getting better. No car repair today, though I'm happy the AC is working, when I head to the doc later today. Close to 100* here.

It's HOT out ! .

Hi gang. My project car was an 83 300SD that I converted to run on WVO with a  Greasecar kit. The conversion is solid and the car runs but it needs a lot of love. We just sold our house so no place to put it.

Looking for input from the group.

Here is what she needs:

Tires

Left front power window motor

Sun roof repair (motor works but sticks...needs a solid cleaning and lubricating

Driver seat upholstery (or seat cover)

High mount center brake light.

Has a little rust

Leaks a little but not sure from where as I have  no way to lift it up.

So here's my question. Should I fix these issue and try to sell or let it go for the cost of the conversion alone ($1150 in parts).? What would you do???

BTW, I only have a month till we have to move.

Looking forward to your replies

[diesel_mercedes] Heat

When I was young and skinny , the dry heat didn't bother me atall ~ I grew up Down East where 100° F was a rare thing but high humidity was the norm so the dry Desert air was nice .
