Just for shits and grins I looked up the EPA fuel economy rating for my 1984 300CD and city is 22 and highway 24 MPG, so at 24 ~ 25 MPGs combined I guess I'm ever so slightly ahead of the curve .
I got spoiled with my very first Diesel Mercedes being a 1982 240D automatic, it usually got 27 + MPG's no matter what and often topped 30 .
