Re: [diesel_mercedes] FLOOR MATS

I got what they call #47 Palomino Cognac Sisal, but they look more brown than palomino. I would not be afraid to go "lighter" as I think everything is darker than you think it will be.

I need some floor mats, What color did you get?
I have cream carpets, yet would be worried about messing them up if I went light.
Maybe the #51 Black & Red Dot, as the car is red.
Thanks

After watching the Mercedes Source and Jay Leno video's, I bought a set of Coco Mats for my 1983 300d. Pricey ($200) compared to Walmart type mats - but, I am a happy camper and glad I bought them. They will last longer than me or the car, they lay flat, look good, and don't shed crap. Take a look at their website (www.cocomats.com) where they have the 2 viseos linked (from Leno and Bergsma). And, the guy that makes them in North Carolina drives a 300d diesel. I am happy enough that I will buy another set for my wifes 300d as soon as I save up some more pennies. There are 4 or 5 cosmetic things I have spent money on over the years (steering wheel cover, dash mat cover, powder coated rims, Ikea sheepskins, and now cocomats). These are things that give pleasure when I drive, and are worth the $$ over the long haul because you can enloy them every time you crawl behind the wheel and crank the engine. brian from laverne Messages in this topic (1) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yahoo! [diesel_mercedes] Made it.

Mazatlan to home, 4,000+ Kilometers. Car did well, no real issues, a dreaded vacuum prob, but much better than the trip south. New Axles took care of the big problem, (thanks Brian). We towed a trailer all the way, around 1,000lbs, and kept the speed mostly under 60 mph.
