When I worked at a freight forwarding company ten years ago, we had an International straight truck with a big diesel engine that started like that. I was told there was some kind of starting fluid that was automatically injected. Not sure if the Sprinter works that way....

Does anybody know how these new diesels start? My friend just bought a new Sprinter 4WD . He was here for a visit and in the morning it was like 2 degrees. He went out and turned the key and presto it started. No glo, no nothing, just like a gas car. How do they do this? If I had to start either one of my 240's like that, they would not. I can always get them started but it takes a while. Max
