Diesel RVs: 07/07/18

[diesel_mercedes] Clunks & Thumps

Wow ~

There's a bad knock coming from the front end of my 1982 240D so I ordered in the upper control arm and bushings, tie rods, kits, so on and so forth.....

I hope a ball joint doesn't part on me as my coupe is still in for a major front suspension rebuild and AC repair.....

[diesel_mercedes] Fuel Economy Check '82 240D Slushbox

I interrupt this nasty heat wave to bring you my latest fuel economy check :

377 miles, 24MPG ~ not great but considering the entire tank was run with the AC om MAX so I'm not as unhappy as I usually am with this low mileage .

No additives used, Propel bio Diesel .

It's been well over 100* F the last three days here .

Got down to 82* F @ 04:30 this morning .

I find all manner of odd ball things I need by googling them .
