Brian,
Different bubble. The little bubble in the primary filter is always
there, yet the one on the injector side of the secondary fuel filter can
stall the engine, and then you may need to bleed the injector lines.

Re: [diesel_mercedes] Break down/picture of hand pump
Re: [diesel_mercedes] 240D Update
oil cap, but no smoke. I'm hoping some of this clears up now that it has
Mobil 1 in the crankcase. We had it out for a few hours today around town.
We got it up to almost 80 to clean it out before doing the emissions
testing and registration. It passed! Now, I'm going to get some fuel
filters and Diesel Purge, and try to find another set of valve adjustment
wrenches to replace the ones I lost.

Knew a guy who, back in the day, allowed his wife to use his 4.1 big block Ferrari to run an errand or something, she allowed a gas guy to pour in a couple of quarts of gas station motor oil in with the castor the engine was running, the mess congealed, the bottom end was ruined, the car came into a shop owned by a fellow I used to know in San Jose, who tore it down, found the crank and cams and other stuff kaput. He wrote a letter to Ferrari, explaining what he needed, and eventually got a return that said that Ferrari had found the bluepeint for that crank, and would forge them a new one someday, meantime send $4000 please.. one last comment (well maybe not the last) Are you sure it was diesel you added to the tank? If I remember corectly the symptoms of gas in the tank are similar.

[diesel_mercedes] MB Mechanics
OK gang - Kevin is probably feeling a little discouraged about now. So, lets send him some good vibrations as he tries to put his wife behind the wheel of an operational Mercedes Benz. Lets make Janis Joplin proud.
Re: [diesel_mercedes] Re: Break down/picture of hand pump
But it ran perfect last Friday right after he did the valve adjustment and it ran perfect Saturday morning until we filled the tank with $50 of diesel!
anybody here think it might be the alda? I don't know enough about it to be sure.
Also be sure the mechanicals on top of the valve cover are attached correctly. My car had a sluggish issue because I attached the levers backwards after a valve adjustment.
