[diesel_mercedes] Pop tester for injector balancing. SF bay Area....

I'm installing new Monarch tips for my injectors.  Does anyone living in the SF Bay Area have the pressure tester and willing to lend/rent it so I can do my injectors.  I also want to raise my pop pressure slightly for veg oil use.  Lawrence Rhodes

Re: [diesel_mercedes] 1980 300TD hydralic suspension(AKA pogo stick)

Make sure fluid level is right, pump is working, and make sure the height control lever system is connected and working.  I had to replace the leaking tubing under the car on mine.  With no pressure, it just sagged down.  If its going up and down the level control valve and linkage would be a good place to look.

Does anyone have a test procedure to get it working again.
The car rides like a pogo stick.  Back end just bounces up and down on bumps.

Alternately has anyone modified theirs to an air system like people do with trucks when they add a camper.

Thanks

Here is a google search that has some reading on the Mercedes hydraulic suspension:

Also, there was one show on Wheeler Dealers (England) where they took the hydraulics out and replaced them with conventional shocks.

[diesel_mercedes] TT Run & Fuel Economy Check

O.K. , we're home again all safe abnd sound , no one crashed although some boob tried to beat a train and got creamed at a grade crossing in Victor Ville , Ca.

Two tanks of fuel one 27.2 MPH , t'other @ 22.6 MPH , this was the second tank full and I was heading home in the freeway going 85 ~ 90 + MPH a goodly bit of it , I was still 45 minutes late for the catered dinner .

More and pictures Tuesday when I have access to a faster computer .
