This group provides a forum for owners and operators of diesel powered motorhomes and 5th wheel tractors to discuss mechanical issues, regulatory issues (US, Canada), ownership, insurance, campground accommodations, trip reports/suggestions, and other topics relevant to large RVs and the people who drive them.

Oh, boy ~
I guess they're going to kill off the yahoo groups slowly beginning in December .
I hope if anyone creates / joins / finds another group they'll let us / me know....

Subject: [diesel_mercedes] Yahoo has announced that they're removing many features of Yahoo Groups on December 14 2019
Hi everyone,
I heard yahoo is trimming back, from another set of groups I'm on, so we might need to move to google groups, or something like that, as well as try to save some of our data. I don't know if anyone on this list is good at such things, and could spearhead this.
This is what the moderator said on one of my other groups:
"Yahoo has announced that they are removing many features of Yahoo Groups on December 14 2019 (two months from now), notably including conversations history and uploaded files. Some functions, like uploading new files, will be removed on October 21 (next week)."
"I therefore call on everyone with an interest in this matter to begin the process of evacuating data from our Yahoo groups before the December deadline. This can be done either as part of a Google Group migration or independently. My recommended new storage location is a Google Drive folder. .... we can use a "shared drive" (formerly "team drive") linked to the Google Group for this purpose. Other group data can be stored on an individual user's Drive account in a folder with appropriate access controls set."
Searching news on yahoo this popped up:

I moderate a different Yahoo! Group, and there is much sadness that this platform, as cranky and idiosyncratic as it has been over the years, is finally getting pulled.
This other group is going to look at Google Groups (a return to Usenet Groups, in my mind), but we're not sure about how moderation, etc. will work out. On the other hand, that would be less of an issue here.
I, for one, would really like to find a venue where we can continue talking about our aging diesels, and I would support a move to a different platform, if we reach consensus about where to go. And I'm tempted to try to find a way to grab an archive of this site, because the technical expertise freely given here over the years cannot be duplicated!

Yahoogroups is not going away. They are however, deleting their photos and files features. We in the Citroen lists are going to make an adjustment, allowing attachments. I am not sure if you have already done so, or allow them already, but this is a reasonable alternative. It basically places the responsibility for retaining these files on the members rather than on Yahoo.
