[diesel_mercedes] 1977 240D glow plug relay fix.

I took apart my relay which is not turning on when I want it and turning on when
I'm driving. I've been shaking it recently & it's not doing so well. I filed
the contacts which looked like a stalagmite and a hole. Still have a bit of a
hole but the other side is flat. If this doesn't' work what are my options?
I'm not averse to getting a proper relay & a momentary switch and manually run
the glow plugs like on our diesel boat motor. Maybe one of you that switched
your relay have an extra one to sell. It's the serial type long delay.

[diesel_mercedes] Re: 300CD For Sale

Yes but I know not how to find them .

Remind me and I'll try to create an album .

It's Oriental Red , this is a deep red , looks nice .

New paint ($2,300 worth) new shaded windshield & grommet , rebuilt tranny , new all metal radiator , new water pump , new ball joints , new glow plugs , 100 Amp. alternator , the new parts list is ridiculous
.

[diesel_mercedes] Re: the 3rd Annual "So Cal Summer Coastal Cruise"

The thing I posted has a hyperlink to the map....

It's across PCH over behind the gas station , by the movie theatre .

There's a big shopping center there , a block or so South .

I blew the modulator in my Metropolitan Nash FHC this afternoon , will try and find one plus an OnLine shop manual for a Borg Warner 35 auto tranny , I tried Google but had no joy .

C-U to - morrow morning ! .

Go to Mercedessource and look at their video on saving rust spots. Clean it up and use Miracle Paint, maybe over some patch if necessary. Small stuff can be saved. Take the door panel off anyway and give it a good once over. I think most everyone has some rust in their door bottoms. But, in the west we normally don't have too many holes.
