[diesel_mercedes] Driving

 



Woulda been a nice drive ! .

I'm driving my un air conditioned 1959 Metropolitan Nash Sports Coupe instead to - day , 2/75 AC working like a champ ! .

I get this every Summer when I run the R-12 charged AC ~ I know the evaporator drip tray's drain tube is kaputi but I never could *see* the dang thing so I never addressed it before .

Looks like the drain tue is a bit of foam with a coiled wire inside it, this rots  away and AC condensate dribbles down the floor hump and wets the carpets .

I finally found some DIY photos and writeups , it doesn't look fun but what the hell , it really needs doing and I plan (!) to clean the evaporator proper as the same time so it'll flow more CFM's of air .

Naturally it's 100* F out .
