Brushes in the blower motor is the first thing to check .

New blowers are now very cheap ~ $100 +/- .

I assume you've done the basic Evil Klima I servo testing ? it _MUST_ travel from one extreme to the other evenly and stop with a thump .

if it groans to a stop at one extreme or the other , it _WILL_ burn up your amplifier ~ it's right behind the glove box liner .

If the alternator passes , it's hard wired to the battery so it must therefore be charging....

If not , follow the 1.5 MM red wire from the back of the alternator to the battery , IIRC it only has one joint in it , this joint might be loose or corroded .

Clean it with metal polish NOT sand paper or other abrasive ! .

Is the engine properly grounded ? .

I raised my charging rate by adding a ground strap from ther battery to the engine ~ photo of it in the photos on the home page .

Take the blower out and hook it to the battery. I tested mine that way once.

Ben,

Check the blower, see if it works. Removing it from the 300d is pretty
easy, should be on the sd too.

My blower went out last year. The brushes were toast, and the wire
attached to the brushes was worn through as it was making the connection.
