Yeah, and if the vent is plugged the vacuum created could prevent fuel flow to the IP. Might leave the cap cracked and try driving it around?

I would assume we got air in there when he blew the line out.  No he hasn't cracked the injectors...will do tomorrow. He used the hand pump to fill up the clear filter after he blew it out.

Thanks everyone...more good ideas.  We'll be trying them out at some point tomorrow.

Thanks.  I'll tell him. At least we have the old motor to take lines from...not that they are in any better shape.

He replaced the primer pump last weekend since the old one did leak.  He can't see any leaks...not sure about weeping.  Ah, vented??? We haven't touched it so???

[diesel_mercedes] Now air bubbles coming from tank!

WHAT THE HECK????

Kevin blew on the line to hopefully clear the crud off of the filter in the tank.  He got fuel into the clear filter, got the car running, then it conked out.  Now he's seeing air bubbles in the clear filter!  He's actually seen them come up from the tank.

Help.... :(

At this point I'm hoping the shop burns down with the car in it.
