Sorry to bog this down. I did two things. First, I cut and pasted the index which is interesting, but somewhat useless for me, but you should be able to see it using word or notepad. Second, however, is what I did (or do) for myself. Which is, copying the "file" into the group page maintains the HTML links from the index to the CD on my hard drive - so I can click on (for instance)  "156 rear axle" and bingo, I have the pictures and words about that particular part and operation. Let me know your experience as I don't know why it worked before I went to Orange County, but was gone when I got home.

[diesel_mercedes] Re: Tranny shifting

Floor switch????
I didn't know there was one!!!

The rug on the driver's side has been bunching up!! That would be great if that was all was causing this!
I think it still needs a tranny service.

[diesel_mercedes] Re: Tranny shifting

I don't remember if it smells burnt. I will check tomorrow.
I went to the link you sent, but it went no further. I could go to the parts section, but not the archives or articles.
Is Amsoil like most synthetics, where even if you have no leaks, when you change over, you very well might devlop some?

Actually the fuses are copper and checked.  A Bad ground as suggested is the first thing I'll check.
