If you find them in any color in good shape, jump on them. Painting isn't that difficult. A body shop should do it, though. Save some money by masking them yourself. Get an exacto knife to trim out the star.

Hi Max et al,

I just returned from a trip to Central California (Sierras/ Groveland,
CA). While the return trip was uneventful, the trip up was very wet, and
much car carnage was seen for the whole 400 mile trip north. Most of the
wrecked vehicles were pickup trucks and SUVs, which always seem to drive
too fast with wide tires and no weight in the back. My 300D drove quite
well, except for the moisture in the car which made switching back and
forth between heat and defrost, mandatory for the trip.

That and not enough brain weight.  We have the same situation in the Northeast where most off-roading is entirely unintended

Pick A Part always has some , usually in the wrong color and slightly curbed , about $5.00 .

If you're in L.A. Area , I'll give you a curbed one , no shipping .

Of course he was lucky because his house was not floating down the canyon. My kid up at Donner Pass has some amazing pictures of deep deep snow up there. After making it home, today I woke up to a major snow storm. Glad I'm not driving home today. Also while I was gone, they broke the snow plow and my snowmobile. Ha Ha, Max
