[diesel_mercedes] clogged drain holes in the top

So how do you clean out those roof drain holes, and where are they?

OK, listen real careful. I'm on my 9th
Mercedes 123 bodystyle
and every single one
has had a leak of some kind when I first bought
them. So here's the ones I've found so
far in my experience:

1.
Sunroof. Most common. Usually clogged drain holes in the top
like
the other guys have mentioned. Prone
b/c of leaves, straw, etc
getting there and
people not cleaning them out. You can tell real
quick by watering down the sunroof (open or
closed) and if it's
clogged, the water
will back up and then drain unseen down the front
pillars and appear in your floorboards.

I'll check the windshield too. I had it replaced a few years ago, with a MB seal, yet the window guys sucked. I had them take it back out again 1st, as ti was over toward one side too far. Thought it was OK the 2nd time, yet will check.

What dumps water on the right-rear floorboard?

'85 300D w/sunroof.

I was wondering about the sunroof drain.

I pulled the carpet, and dried the area, yet now it's wet again.

Thanks

Re: [diesel_mercedes] What dumps water on the right-rear floorboard?

I don't think it's a rust hole, and it is wet under the pad in the front
pass side, so most likely one of the drains.

Thanks
