For the past several years have had the thoughts of selling the 220D. (was my father's) My daughter
loves to drive it, as this was her car in high school. Loved the starting ritual.
So for now since I have a covered space for it, I will keep it. Drives well. Run it up to 80
and it just wants to go forever.
Bill said HWHL. I will second that . Sold my Healey 100-4 and 37 Chevy pickup as the wife
decided they did not have enough room for the family. So we got a wagon – 47 Ford Woodie.
And she's all for it. That was 18 years ago.

My wife wants to get rid of our 2 w123 300d's and get a new fancy schmantsy rig. She doesn't understand that I have 40 years worth of tools and hundreds of replacement parts that would go to waste if we did that. I might have to rent storage space somewhere to hide the cars just so I could work on each MB. Now, that would be something she would not understand at all.
This is why I'm getting out of the MB business. I know my time under the Leaf will be all but non existent. The tools that work on the Mercedes will work on the Leaf. I'm tired of worrying...yes I know you can keep those w123 going forever but at what cost to my existence? I've gained a lot of experience. I'll still chime in from time to time. Still like the old beasts. Lawrence Rhodes
