Re: [diesel_mercedes] Re: Window seals for '85 300TD wagon
Sorry for the delay in responding. First I have to find them in my system. It may be that I also have the rear deck W.S. as well. I'll let you know this coming week.

[diesel_mercedes] Re: Black fuel.
You can add alcohol to the fuel tank once in a while, a couple of ounces in the tank when filling up will take any water into solution and burn it with the fuel. I carry alcohol in the bus for drying the airbrake & suspension system, about once a year I put a pint or so into the 144 gallon fuel tank.

First start in the morning, starts and runs for a second or two then quits, start it about 3 times and it stays running. above 40 deg F, starts just fine. No problem with starting again once she has run. Before I lash out about $75 for new glow plugs, do you guys think new glow plugs are the answer?.

Rock auto often has good prices. The problem is that they hammer you on
shipping. RMEuropean and autohausaz offer free shipping over $65 and
$50, respectively - and good prices, too.

Vodka thru the primary filter for cleaning sounds good.Sometimes I wash my primaries out with hot water, then fill them with alcohol to get rid of the water.I use Purolator primary filters cause you can clean them and reuse. --- On Sun, 10/14/12, Lost but making good time. <aldridgetony97@yahoo.com> wrote:

Nate, you forget I don't take my car to LA, musta got it on the internet. Did try the vodka in the fuel filter, but to maximize resource use, I cycled it through me before putting it in the filter.
Actually it was just black crud that the strainer would not let through, and is all clear now. Swmbo is going through the little town where I used to buy the strainers, if she can get some I will have a couple with your name on em.
