For what it wold have cost to install LSD on my 240D, I instead bought an old Subaru Loyale, a small awkward appearing station wagon that spends most of the time being a front-drive Japanese econ-wagon, but, with the simple push of a button, becomes a FWD traction monster that nearly climbs trees.
No more worrying about getting snowed out while shopping, or calling 3A to pull the Merc out of my driveway..
I am pleased.
I would be nice if winter would get over it now..

So , Tom and I went out for my walking exersize and it turns out it was the big 50 % off sale day , I'd forgotten , we went in and it was a total zoo .
I was able to find & buy , a freshly rebuilt BOSCH brand 100 ampere fan cooled alternator for $16.50 including core charge =8-) . I discarded the cooling ducting in the yard much to Tom's dismay ~ maybe I should try installing this too , I guess running the alternator cooler can only be a good thing .
Sadly , some a$$hole had deliberately broken off every single hood start then bent & destroyed every single grille on the 50 + Mercedes' in the yard .
All in all a nice day out , I'm still looking for a W-123 Station Wagon to buy the right rear door from in case anyone happens across one .

Most of the stuff is for me, but if you are desperate for something you see, let me know. Also, I seem to remember other things that I have that are not shown - see I told you the memory slips now and then.
