Just got your box of bits & pieces yesterday. Everything arrived intact. Refinishing the dash trim piece is going to remove the crack and it matches perfectly. Thanks again.

Unless it's rusted into oblivion, there should be a tow hook.  The next best choice would be the A arms.

[diesel_mercedes] Pulling 300SD from the rear

 

I've bought a 300SD as a parts car. I will have to winch it onto a trailer to haul back to the shop. Any suggestions on what to hook on to on the rear of the car for a safe pull?

Also remember that with the key off , the vacuum pod will hold the Injection Pump in the shutdown mode....

Just keep trying and fiddling with it , you'll find the <magic> combination your particular car likes .
