[diesel_mercedes] W123 Tire Sizes

I'm vacationing at the gates of hell judging by the heat, (Indio, Ca. 120*) my wagon's booklets were stolen by an asshole I trusted along with SIX cans of R12 so I can't check the suggested tire sizes but you sound about what my worthless memory says .

I had some fun a while back driving the  240D on a mountain road rally with Sports Cars who all passed me easily going up hill but couldn't keep up with my on the twisty down hill sections and I'm sure it has the 175SR14's as unsprung weight is a killer on under powered engines .

People always seem to want bigger tires and don't care that they slow you down and increase ball joint etc. wear greatly .

Yep, that's the idea. Mine came with my 041 I bought back in 73. Shaped like a gun and all metal, but the pointed tip is the important part. Just shove it in there and pump. Works fine, Max

Dont know about adapter. If you hAVE a chainsaw with a greaseable tip you get a little hand held grease gun with a needle tip. Squirts right in the door hinges. Max

I also figured out I can mark the front of the torque converter with a marker so next time it will be easier. Greased the doors. A needle grease gun for a chainsaw bar tip works great.
