[diesel_mercedes] Re: 2-240's

Ha Ha, yep good one. You might be too young(no pun intended)to remember it. That song was from somewhwere around 1969 and I realized it could be about my place(lot's of places) His place was just over the bridge out of San Fran. I love Pandora, the music program, free and they have everything. Growing up in GG this was my dream. Max

No Max, I didn't know that one, yet understood the message.
With a quick search, it came up as: Ridgetop :: Jesse Colin Young

(an excerpt from ridgetop)
Yes, the hill that I live on is steep
And the road's full of ruts
And the people who live in the flatlands
Think we folks are nuts

But the ruts in my road and the curves
Keep the tourists at bay
And it's lonesome and peaceful
And you know I like it that way

You live in a beautiful place Max.

May your car look as good as Ann Margaret, and perform as well she does in its (her) old age.

No the window is in the house.  No garage..yet.

I have a 123 chassis.  I've decided since I have no choice to keep putting oil in my leaking beast for as long as necessary.  When it finally rusts out from under me I'll part it out.

If I were to name my car it would be "Rusty" and not for the rust it has, but because it's orange and that was/is Ann Margaret's nickname.

I've already turned it into a "farm" car...At different times I've used the car to bring home dogs, baby chickens, horse manure and the other day I needed to move a full size utility pole out of the way of the new garden area so I hooked up a tow strap and used my MB to drag that thing across to the side pasture!

I'm hoping next weekend we can hit a PAP to find the fan I need to replace so I can have a/c again.

So you now have a nice window in the garage ? . that's neat .

When are you leaving to Max's place to buy a 240D ? take ' The Hound '
& drive your new Baby home , you'll enjoy the drive and , being an Engineer's Daughter , you'll appreciate the better design of the W-123's chassis .
