O.K., so I got skinned, lied to, cheated and stolen from some guy in S.C. and to add insult to injury, every 'rebuilt' injector he sent me, smokes .So, I rustled up yet more old injectors and sent them to UDS in El Monte, Ca. .To - day I finally drug out my pop tester and tested them all, one might pop a little bit low (a NA one) but no droolers and all have very nice spray patterns so I yanked out the old injectors on my '84 300CD and ran a compression test, #3 cylinder has 360# , all the others have slightly over 400# .I installed five rebuilt injectors and fired it up, no cloud of smoke so maybe some progress here .It has more power with less throttle and runs silky smooth off idle ~ it still lopes a bit @ idle, this is frustrating to say the least .I had to stop 1/2 way through for an old friend's retirement luncheon and a nap, finished up and drove the car to Inglewood, it's better but that doggone lope...Maybe to - morrow I'll pop test the injectors I yanked, they were supposedly rebuilt .-NATE" Farming is easy when your plow is a pencil and you're a thousand miles away "- Dwight David Eisenhower
