very interesting, Thanks Brian.
I may then go back to PS diesel kleen.......I had been using that, before
MMO.
and, I feel good about the processed WMO, I'll be using more and more of.
It at least seemed to "break even", but, I'd think the process I'm using to
clean it, would take it into the postive category.

Ran across this four-year old study and thought it might be of interest as I
know many of us here add a little extra something into our fuel. My
apologies
if it's been previously posted and I missed it.

Re: [diesel_mercedes] she's dead Jim (for now)
The ignition switch might be the problem as others have stated, though
you didn't mention if you tried starting it in neutral instead of park.
The park neutral switch on the tranny might be off, or broken. Try the
easy stuff first. :)

Something in that part of the car then falls into place and it will start and operate "normally." Alas no more. Open/shut - nothing. Car is electrically dead - no lights, no radio, no power - nada.

Have not been under the car to look at starter leads and probably won't in favor of having it towed to a shop that knows way more about debugging this problem than I do (and time for right now).

No click, no noise whatsoever.

Been through all the "obvious" parts of the wiring harness near the glow plug "fuse" on driver side, and the leads from the battery on the passenger side. When the glow plugs were replaced, the wiring harness was inspected at that time and visually didn't appear to have any problems.

Re: [diesel_mercedes] 84 300T mileage
25-26mpg is about the best you'll get on this model diesel, with
everything right. WVO seems to give less mpg in my experience, usually,
22mpg or so. You might see what it does on straight diesel, just to compare.
What speed are you driving? These cars aren't too aerodynamic.
Does your car have decent acceleration, for a diesel? :)
How smooth does it idle? Maybe the injectors need a purge (Diesel Purge).
How smokey is the exhaust? Check the air filter.
