Re: [diesel_mercedes] 240D Cruising Speed

I don't think it'd pull an O.D. Max. maybe with your foot buried, level or down hill. But I'd bet you'd not gain MPG's that way.
ya gotta have ponies to pull those tall gears.

[diesel_mercedes] RE: Where's CHIP ?

?? the Huston Police are not interested in getting it back to you after you made a stolen car report ?? .

Maybe you need to find the head Auto Theft Detail person and put a bug in their ear.....

Blowing up a person's E-Mail works if you do it carefully and politely .

At the very least you should find out when / how the tow yard sells off the wrecks and abandoned junkers .

Hey Guys,

Still no resolution on the lost, theft, settlement issues with my 300CD coupe.  As far as I know, it is still parked in the tow yard where I last found it.  Still no settlement with the insurance company either, just stuck.

I suppose I have become a lurker on this site until I get a diesel Mercedes replacement or reclaim my old car.

Interestingly as I have thought about another car, I find myself coming back to this group and our cars.  High likelihood I'll go back to a vehicle that keeps me a part of this special fraternity.

Thanks for asking Nate.  Things are good here in Houston.

[diesel_mercedes] RE: PAP Visitations

Thanx Brian ;

I don't want a used white knob primer pump =8-) .

I wish I could drive out to my favorite yards....

Happy hunting and be careful out there .

I could use some amber (not yellow) W-123 front turn signal lenses or better yet , the oval shaped bulb holders used in early W-123's and W-116's .

I've had to drive my 240 to town, my 4WD Turdsel had a flat tire. The temp only got up to that first mark past 40. It was very hard to start as I did not have much time to plug it in. Anyway had my girlfriend with me and my killer sub-woofer, good drive, but now they are back in the shed. Max
